Privacy Policy for Local Planner

1. Introduction

Local Planner is a desktop application created and operated by
Kokkini Reseptit.

Local Planner allows authorized Facebook Page administrators to prepare,
upload, schedule, and manage content for Facebook Pages they control.

This Privacy Policy explains what information Local Planner processes,
how that information is used, where it is stored, and how users can request
deletion.

2. Information We Process

Local Planner may process the following Facebook information:

  • An app-scoped Facebook user identifier
  • The user’s public name
  • Facebook Page IDs and Page names
  • Page permissions and assigned management tasks
  • Facebook access tokens
  • Facebook post and photo identifiers
  • Publishing and scheduling status information

Local Planner may also process content selected from the user’s computer:

  • Text captions
  • Images
  • File names and local file paths
  • Scheduled publication dates and times
  • Publishing history and error information

Local Planner does not access unrelated files unless the user selects or
imports them into the application.

3. Facebook Permissions

Local Planner may request the following Facebook permissions:

  • pages_show_list to display Pages managed by the user
  • pages_read_engagement to read Page content and publishing status
  • pages_manage_posts to create, schedule, edit, or delete Page posts
  • public_profile, which Facebook may provide automatically
  • business_management where required to access a selected business asset

These permissions are used only to provide Page-management and publishing
features requested by the user.

4. How Information Is Used

Information is used to:

  • Connect Local Planner to a Facebook Page
  • Display Pages available to the authorized user
  • Import and organize local content
  • Schedule and publish Facebook Page posts
  • Verify whether posts were scheduled or published
  • Prevent accidental duplicate posts
  • Display publishing errors and history
  • Maintain application security and reliability

Information is not sold, rented, used for advertising, or shared with
unrelated third parties.

5. Local Storage

Local Planner is a local-first desktop application.

Drafts, schedules, publishing history, configuration, and Facebook post IDs
are normally stored locally on the user’s computer.

Facebook access tokens are stored using secure operating-system credential
storage, such as macOS Keychain. Access tokens are not intentionally stored
in source code, application logs, content folders, or the local database.

Local Planner does not operate a remote database or developer-controlled
cloud server for storing user content.

6. Sharing of Information

Local Planner sends selected content and necessary Page information to Meta
only when required to perform an action requested by the user, such as
uploading an image or scheduling a Facebook Page post.

Meta processes information according to its own terms, platform policies,
and privacy policy.

7. Data Retention

Local application information is retained until:

  • The user deletes it
  • The user removes the application
  • The user clears the application’s local data
  • The information is no longer required for the application’s operation

Publishing identifiers and history may be retained locally to prevent
duplicate posts and help diagnose publishing problems.

8. Data Deletion and Access Revocation

Users can revoke Local Planner’s Facebook access by following these steps:

  1. Open Facebook.
  2. Go to Settings & privacy.
  3. Open Settings.
  4. Open Business integrations.
  5. Select Local Planner.
  6. Choose Remove.

Removing the integration prevents Local Planner from continuing to use the
previously granted Facebook permissions.

Users may delete locally stored information by removing Local Planner’s
local database, settings, logs, and backups from their computer, or by using
the application’s deletion function when available.

To request assistance with data access, correction, or deletion, contact

Any Facebook Platform Data held by the operator will be deleted after a
valid request unless retention is required by law.

9. Security

Reasonable technical measures are used to protect information, including:

  • Operating-system credential storage
  • Restricted local file access
  • Sanitized application logs
  • HTTPS communication with Meta APIs
  • Access-token redaction
  • Duplicate-post protection
  • Limited Facebook permissions

No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure.
Users are responsible for securing their computer, operating-system account,
and Facebook account.

10. Third-Party Services

Local Planner communicates with Facebook and Meta services.

Local Planner is not operated, sponsored, or endorsed by Meta Platforms,
Inc. Facebook and Meta are trademarks of their respective owners.

The website hosting this Privacy Policy may process basic technical
information, such as IP addresses and server logs, according to the hosting
provider’s own privacy practices.

11. Children’s Privacy

Local Planner is intended for authorized Facebook Page administrators.
The application does not knowingly collect personal information from
children through a developer-operated online service.

12. Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated when Local Planner’s functionality,
data practices, Facebook permissions, or legal obligations change.

The latest version will be published on this page with an updated revision
date.
